Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, and the East Midlands.
We offer a complete tango experience -
from your very first steps as a beginner through to advanced social dancing - with a warm,
structured, and confidence-building approach that is genuinely tailored to you.
No partner required. No experience needed.
Just a willingness to learn one of the world’s most beautiful dances.

Meet Darren & Zoe
Tailored Tango is led by husband and wife Darren and Zoe -
a teaching duo with a genuinely rare set of skills.
Darren Taylor
Darren has been teaching and DJ's Argentine Tango in the UK since 2008, with 18 years of experience across class nights, weekenders, and workshops. His forte is Traditional Argentine Tango - and his mastery of its technique, musicality, and connection is exceptional. He also teaches across all tango styles, and - unusually - can teach and dance both the lead and the follow roles.
What sets Darren apart is his ability to break down even the finest nuances of the dance and communicate them clearly, making complex movement accessible at every level.
Zoe Taylor
Zoe joined Darren in teaching in 2016, bringing with her years of dedicated learning and a meticulous attention to detail. Her forte is Tango Nuevo / Alternative - expressive, creative, and deeply musical. Like Darren, Zoe teaches and dances both lead and follow - a combination that gives her a 360-degree understanding of the dance and a teaching clarity that students consistently remark on.
Together
As a husband and wife teaching team, Darren and Zoe bring a fully rounded, deeply experienced perspective to every class. Their approach is fun, friendly, and relaxed - creating an environment where you feel welcome, supported, and genuinely enjoy the process of learning.
This dual-role teaching ability is exceptionally rare in the UK tango world, and it means every student - regardless of whether they lead or follow - receives insight from both perspectives in every session.
Our Classes in Northampton
We run 6-week tango courses in Kislingbury, Northampton on Wednesday evenings,
with three classes running each night across our full range of styles.
Our course programme covers five distinct 6-week courses:

Traditional Argentine Tango - foundational technique, connection, and musicality

Milonga - the faster, playful rhythm at the heart of Argentine tango

Vals - elegant and flowing, danced to waltz-time tango music

Tango Nuevo / Alternative - creative, expressive, and ideal for social dance floors

Musicality - a dedicated course exploring how to truly listen to and interpret tango music
Three of these courses run concurrently each Wednesday evening,
rotating across the year to give students a full and progressive tango education.
No partner required. Each course is structured to take you from your
current level to the next with confidence, using tried, tested,
and trusted technique at every stage.
Our Events in Lutterworth & the East Midlands
1st Saturday of the Month — Alternative Tango Night, Lutterworth
An evening of Tango Nuevo and Alternative tango
with resident and guest DJs.
4th Saturday of the Month — Traditional Milonga, Lutterworth
Music played in the traditional way — in tandas with cortinas —
drawn from the Golden Era, with guest DJs appearing regularly.
5th Saturday — Best of Both Worlds, Wycliffe Rooms, Lutterworth
Our signature dual-room event. Traditional tango in one room, Nuevo/Alternative in the other
— under one roof, on the same night.
